Did anyone bother to ask how many fires Plympton had or has had over the last year or years. My guess is very, very few and most of what they are doing is responding to false alarms, elderly folks who fall in their homes, with some actual emergencies sprinkled in. Towns are building very expensive houses for firefighters because they need a place to sleep, eat and hang out during their union mandated 24 hour shifts. It’s a racket and the “occupational cancer” propaganda a misuse of data to sway uninformed voters. Change is desperately needed but no politician risks calling out the elephant in the room.
