Coyle wins 1 year term, Eddy and Cormier win 3 year terms
April 25 - The unofficial results are in for the Abington Town Election held on Saturday, April 25th, reported by AbingtonCAM.
Here is the breakdown for the newly elected members of the Select Board:
One-Year Term: Ken Coyle has officially won the one-year seat on the Select Board, having run a successful unopposed campaign.
Three-Year Terms: Daniel Eddy and William Cormier Jr. have emerged victorious, securing the two available three-year seats in the contested race against Wendy Happel.
The newly shaped Select Board will have to hit the ground running to address the town’s severe budget shortfall, with the critical $3.6 million Proposition 2 ½ override heading to Town Meeting on May 4th and a Special Election May 16.
